DEMAND PLANNER / STOCK ANALYST
Location: Cape Town
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential as long as the person has solid experience working in a Demand Planning and or Stock Analyst role, ideally within the fresh produce or related industries.
- The company is happy to consider training a BComm. or Stats or related qualification Graduate with no experience into the above role.
- Previous experience having worked with numbers and the ability to process data in Excel is essential.
- The successful candidate should have advanced Excel skills being able to design and or programme in Excel as well as having previous work experience working on VLookup’s and Pivot tables is essential.
- Previous experience having worked on QX software or related would be preferred not essential.
- Previous working knowledge of SAP or SYSPRO or related is pref.
- Driver’s licence is essential as the person will be required to meet suppliers from time to time.
- Previous experience having worked on statistical analysis would be preferred but is not essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing Analysis Reports:
- Developing and submitting reports for approval as well as ensuring end-users understand the content of reports.
- Verifying that reports achieve their purpose on a continuous basis and taking appropriate action if necessary.
- Reporting on Stock Availability:
- Collating data on stock availability at Growers and Packhouses as well as stock held by the company.
- Producing live reports on stock availability, held stock, sold stock and aging.
- Reporting on stock levels and aging as well as making recommendations regarding stock movement.
- Ensuring that pricing of held stock is updated and accurate.
- Providing updates to the Commercial department and Packhouses with regards to stock allocations by Account Executives.
- Producing Sales Cost Structure Reports:
- Compiling and analysing QX sales reports and variances and attending to these variances to ensure data accuracy.
- Identifying the value of each sales transaction.
- Collating and analysing all costs associated with the sale.
- Establishing an accurate gross profit per sales transactions.
- Tracking and analysing foreign exchange.
- Reporting on Partnerships Sales and Stock Levels:
- Analysing, interpreting and compiling reports of stock levels and sales of the company’s various global partners in a quantitative and qualitative manner.
- Projects:
- Planning and preparing budgets for projects as well as executing projects according to plan and budget specifications.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
