Credit Controller
Location: Durban, KZN
Salary :R20 000 - R25 000 a month
Matric or Equivalent
Ideal industries include Construction, Engineering and Service. Please note the client runs both installations and service contracts. Hence collections need to be handled well with clients as it is impossible to take back the equipment.
Experience with Debtors book of over 100million
Experience and ability to deal with complex accounts
Able to deal one on one with clients where necessary
Collections
Responsible for full credit control function
Responsible for Journals – Credits, debits & refunds
Responsible for identifying & allocating money’s on bank statements
Responsible for collections
Responsible for reconciliations
Responsible for processing & submitting statements
Responsible for the creation of daily work stream, i.e.: Credit Supervisor to first check resubmissions and credit limits then contact clients in order of priority - facilitation of better debt collection
Follow up with clients on outstanding queries or promise to pay - better managing & tighter hold on roll overs, closure of old resubmission better performance of worklist
Responsible for Credit Limit analysis
Identify set amount of 30 clients per day highest overdue
Responsible for monthly Legal Handovers (25th of the month)
Responsible for logging queries on SAP
Responsible for “Actioning” e-mails daily
Responsible for processing remittance advices (All payments need to be obtained in order for you to complete a LMT allocation to reduce the overdue ageing & provide corrective statements to client base
Investigate and provide the correct paperwork GL codes in order not to disclose wrong information for analysis on reporting figures
